Putting New Zealand’s rural businesses first.
GSI South developed AgriCover+ to provide rural business directors, investors and trustees with fit-for-purpose liability cover that increases protection across all areas of their operation.

Farms, agribusinesses and rural industrial operations are at the heart of New Zealand’s economic growth - but historically, New Zealand insurers have developed robust Management Liability packages for the industrial and commercial sectors, with no equivalent solution for rural businesses. AgriCover+ bridges this gap.
AgriCover+ provides broad cover, tailored to your organisation, with a streamlined renewal and claim process. It's designed to mitigate risk across all aspects of farm or agribusiness, from civil and statute liability (including unintentional breaches of New Zealand law) to Directors and Officers liability arising from actions taken on behalf of an organisation.
AgriCover+ solutions are tailored to your operation, and policies vary in the benefits they provide. As with all insurance products, AgriCover+ is a risk management tool, not a guarantee. Policy conditions, exclusions, and excess will vary.
Here’s the type of cover that an AgriCover+ package may include:
If an operation or product is found liable for causing damage to someone else’s property or causing an injury (that falls outside New Zealand’s ACC coverage) GL insurance may cover the resulting costs.
If an operation unintentionally breaches New Zealand law, Statutory Liability insurance can provide cover for fines and court costs. This may include Resource Management Act fines and defence costs, and may cover legal defence costs for Health & Safety breaches.
If civil action is taken against company directors, officers or employees for actions taken on behalf of an organisation, Directors & Officers Liability may provide cover for related costs and liabilities.
This is similar to Directors & Officers liability but is designed to cover trustees instead of Directors.
Crime cover can insure against losses to a business caused by employee dishonesty, as well as the theft of stock or materials by employees or by the public.
If an operation is subject to an employment relations dispute, Employment Practices Liability cover can cover costs in defending the dispute, as well as any awarded costs by the Employment Relations Authority.
Loss Liability Consequential Loss can protect against any additional consequences arising from a General Liability claim.
